How can we get the country behind us on the Flood Insurance Premiums being raised across Massachusetts when only 20% of the country is affected by Flood Insurance requirements?
I think the first thing we have to get clear is that the federal goverment or the entire population of the United States is not supplementing the Flood Insurance for the FEW!
The premiums are supplemented but by others who are in the need for Flood Insurance, the higher premiums of some home owners help to supplement some of the homeowners who have been grandfathered in - in the past with lower premiums. Does this change your mind?
This is a real problem for those who have recently found their homes in flood zones or in a more expensive flood plane zone.
Can you please let your voice be heard with your local and federal representatives. Your assistance is requested to help your neighbors and friends and family deal with this blow to their homeownership.
