Academy Awards Await - Who will Oscar go home with?

Wow this year is power packed for the Academy Awards, Oprah's Annual Special is on right now, an event to look forward to each year, you get to meet the stars as people not "just stars".  Penelope Cruz, already an Academy Award winner,  is up for the Academy Award for Nine, fabulous costumes, great dancing and song...she did a great job!  Halle Berry is interviewing her, Halle was very touching recalling  her story about the 2002 Academy Awards when she won her Academy Award, this was a historical award, Halle was the first black woman to achieve this acclaim, she opened the doors for others to follow in her footsteps. What a terrific milestone to make in the movie industry when you think of all the great black actresses before her, wasn't  she was really something in her role in Monster Ball. Halle said she will be watching the awards on Sunday in her "jj's" with a glass of wine at home this year!

The highest grossing movie of all time, AVATAR! Sigourney Weaver  is describing her community in Avatar. We are told, that James Cameron, director,  has been thinking of this movie since he was fourteen years old, oh to have a long time lifetime dream come true.  Questioned - What was the challenge to this movie, Cameron said the facial expressions of the Avatar and  being able to feel the tears of the characters.  Amazing seeing the true production of how this movie  came to life.  Do hope you have seen this fantastic feat of movie making! 3D is the way to go!

A visit to Director James Cameron office discussed the importance of connecting in this movie, to the environment, to a cause, to touch the people who view it.  Special digital effects, a theme song that touches your heart, Cameron said he wanted us to look at ourselves from inside out, to look at nature, a wild ride he said, bizarre and mind boggling.  A long haul with them working together has made for mutual respect and a bond. Sigourney Weaver said she always wanted to have a tail! " Aclaim is well deserved." Oprah added.

Glenn Close, five academy award nominee and  most famous for Fatal Attraction along with costar Michael Douglas talked about their sex scenes together as well as trying to kill each other in their famed movie Fatal Attraction of 1987.

1998 Goodwill Hunting, Academy Award winner Ben Afflick, interviewed Jeremy  Renner star of The Hurt Locker  and Academy Award nominee who is taking his mom to the Awards, what a good son.  Jeremy portrays a soldier who had to disarm bombs in Iraq - this movie is heavy, the biggest compliment is that he has been told that he really captured a day of a soldier in Iraq. Ben is directing Jermy in his new movie.

Looking forward to Sunday evening, grab your popcorn, a glass of wine and get into your "jj's" and enjoy the Academy Awards...oh Oscar who will you go home with?
