Oldest Homes In Massachusetts

Where are some of the oldest homes in Massachusetts?

Well here is a great website on the WCVB website to show you where they are located.

But if we are looking to the South Shore of Boston in Massachusetts Plymouth Massachusetts does have some of the oldest homes in the state ranking at Number 51 out of 100 towns, 50.6 percent of the homes in Plymouth were built before 1939.

How does your own home rate here?  How about your town in Massachusetts?

You can go to the website: http://www.wcvb.com/news/money/-/9848680/18527512/-/slc67z/-/index.html .

You will be able to find your town on the website above if you rated in the top 100 cities and towns in Massachusetts for older home/housing stock.

Other towns on the southshore of Massachusetts for example include:

Hingham ranking number 15 out of 100 communities with older homes.

North Plymouth was delinated differently then Plymouth and it ranked at 69 with a 47.6 percent of homes built before the 1930 timeframe.

MaryBeth, with 50% of the homes built before 1939 in Plymouth Massachusetts I think that qualifies as an older community.  I did own a home once that was built in the late 1800's.
